Naval Heritage Syllabi for Fall 2011
Professor Symonds is giving two courses in the Fall of 2011, HH104: American Naval History and HH 462: Lincoln and Leadership in the Civil War. The two syllabi are provided below as PDF files as they are quite lengthy. There are some notations in each file that are not explained and so I choose to assume that they are not mysterious to modern day Midshipmen (Midshippersons??? Midshipmites???Midshipfolk???).
I have, in the past, tucked away small notes in the nether regions of such lengthy tomes as the below and offered drinks to any and all who might discover them and say the magic words to me, in person or by e-mail. I hereby cease and desist as I have been caught out by a rendering of the magic words and could not understand why that author was addressing me thusly. Memory, as well as agility, deserts me more and more!!
